28 mm textile‑dome tweeter.

The Scan‑Speak D2905/970000 uses a lightweight textile dome diaphragm. This design provides a wide operating range and stable behaviour at high frequencies. The suspension has low mechanical losses and a stiffness chosen to set the resonance frequency and keep losses low within the operating band.

The driver incorporates the Symmetrical Drive SD‑2 system, which reduces inductance variation during voice‑coil displacement and lowers distortion related to magnetic‑field non‑uniformity. The rear chamber has a low resonance and provides acoustic damping, improving performance near the lower end of the operating range.

The black‑painted aluminium faceplate provides a rigid mounting surface. The lightweight two‑layer voice coil and the spider define the dome position and its motion during operation.
