SEAS E0040-06 (T29CF002) 'Excel Crescendo'

Soft dome tweeter with patented HEXADYM magnet system.

A high efficiency HEXADYM magnet system (US Patent 6020805) is based on six radially NdFeB-magnets, providing efficient ventilation and damping of cavities behind the dome, surround and voice coil of SEAS T29CF002. Moderate magnetic stray fields represent no problems for Excel Crescendo E0040 in top-level audio-video installations.

A generously underhung voice coil with flexible lead-out wires, ensures low distortion of SEAS T29CF002, even with low crossover frequencies.

A 6 mm precision machined aluminum front plate with moderate horn loading ensures linear frequency response and reasonable efficiency. The central part of the horn is made from chrome plated precision machined brass.

A substantial injection moulded rear chamber of SEAS E0040 is made from zinc in order to eliminate unwanted chamber wall resonances and to conduct heat away from the magnet system of the speaker. The rear chamber and the front plate of Excel Crescendo tweeter are Nextel painted to obtain a durable and attractive finish.
