Scan-Speak D2904/710003 'Revelator'
26 mm coated‑textile dome tweeter.
The Scan‑Speak D2904/710003 uses a lightweight textile dome with a polymer coating. This design provides a wide operating range and stable behaviour at high frequencies. The large‑roll surround contributes to wide dispersion and reduces off‑axis response variation.
The driver employs a ring‑shaped neodymium magnet together with the Symmetrical Drive SD‑2 system. This combination reduces inductance variation during voice‑coil displacement and lowers distortion caused by magnetic‑field non‑uniformity. The aluminium rear chamber has a low resonance and provides acoustic damping near the lower end of the operating range.
The machined aluminium faceplate of Scan‑Speak D2904/710003 forms the mounting base for the magnetic assembly. The lightweight two‑layer voice coil and the spider define the dome position and its motion during operation.
