The Bliesma M74D‑6 features a 74‑mm CVD diamond diaphragm with a well‑damped ultrasonic first breakup mode. Its large radiating area, combined with extremely low moving mass, provides high sensitivity and accurate reproduction across a wide frequency range.
A fully saturated neodymium motor with a copper sleeve minimizes nonlinear and modulation distortion. The 2.4‑mm linear excursion and large vent channel allow low‑frequency operation without compression or artifacts. The underhung titanium voice‑coil former and ferrofluid‑free design ensure fast transient response and stable dynamic behaviour.
The midrange driver includes an aluminium rear chamber with natural wool damping. A textile surround covered by a moderately horn‑loaded faceplate provides a smooth frequency response and wide off‑axis dispersion.
The recommended operating range extends from the resonance frequency up to 6 kHz.
